Meet Theo, the creative force behind tGC
From childhood to adulthood, I've had a natural inclination to capture my interpretation of the world no matter what. I've used various cameras, including cell phones, point-and-shoot cameras, and manual cameras occasionally. When I couldn't take pictures, I would draw in my sketchbook.
I have been surrounded by art for my entire life. Growing up in a homophobic and transphobic country, and later, as an immigrant, I was quite isolated and found solace in sculpture, painting, or studying art. Despite pursuing other goals and planning a career in science, my desire to create only grew stronger over time.
While "freezing the moments of life" sounds beautiful, I didn't appreciate photography as much as I do now until I realized that it is an amazing way to show my own reality and even create something surreal. That was a turning point for me: the world itself, people, even everyday objects could be the tools for my art.
As a photographer, I enjoy all aspects of creating an art piece, from developing the concept and art direction to post-production. I draw inspiration from fine art, editorial portraiture, fashion photography, and cosplay, and my goal is to create strong image that resonates with the viewer in their own way.
Whichever emotion my work evokes, whether it's amazement, confusion, or fascination, as long as it does, l've accomplished my goal.
